Written representations for Agenda Item 7 – Street Trading Policy Update

Sent on behalf of Make it York, regarding the Street Trading Policy.

Having read the Street Trading policy report dated 6 February 2025, Make it York would like it to be noted:

That we agree to the recommendation of option 2, with particular reference to street traders being relocated during the Christmas market. This will assist MIY in planning the layout of the Christmas market event, making it more accessible.  MIY will guarantee a pitch within the new wider footprint of the market, at no additional cost to consent holder. However, should a consent holder wish to be considered for an alternative or specific pitch, they must make this request to Make it York and this will be considered, and additional charges will apply.
